About the GAVA Awards

GAVA recognizes artisans globally whose visions and creativity exemplify the best in AquaTekture™; the discipline of designing, engineering and erecting of water environments and ancillary components, in a harmonious nature with consideration to function, space and aesthetics.

GAVA transcends beyond the traditional water-themed design awards by hosting an integrated world-wide competition open to design professionals of all genres dedicated to influencing and creating thought-provoking solutions.

Open Competition

GAVA is the only independent design awards competition open to all design disciplines: Architects, Contractors, Interior & Exterior Designers, Home Builders, Pool Builders and Landscape Architects & Designers worldwide.

Acknowledging the most innovative concepts, designs, materials and applications of water-inspired environments from across the globe in commercial, mixed use, hospitality, public use, recreational and residential, in both interior and exterior applications.

Categories

Commercial and Residential Categories include: pools, spas, water features, lakes, waterfalls, reflection ponds, koi ponds, and water fountains, as well as special materials such as lighting, acrylic walls, tiles, natural materials, art, fire, interior finishes and of course “green” AquaTekture. $225.00 USD per category.

As presenting sponsor, Structure Studios will present a “signature” award for artisans who utilized the company’s Pool Studio 3-D software to develop their winning concept.

Philianthropic Program

As part of 3VE’s commitment to enhance philanthropic endeavors worldwide, a program was established to waive the entry fee, providing complimentary entries for non-profit organizations to submit their water-themed projects into the annual international competition.

To qualify for fee exemption, organizations must validate their status by providing a not-for-profit license or certification number such as a 501 (c) 3, along with their entry submission into any of the many categories including pools, spas, water features, waterfalls, reflection ponds, koi ponds, animal habitats and water fountains. A review committee will evaluate each submission on a case by case basis.

The exemption would extend to any entity operated by a non-profit group, such as a religious building, educational institution, fitness center or popular attraction site such as museums, aquariums, animal parks and zoos.

Support from GAVA sponsors Structure Studios, Zodiac Pool Products, Brand, Ltd., Paramount Pool and Spa Systems and Pebble Technology, Inc. allows 3VE to provide this philanthropic program on such a vast dimension.

Judging

The panel of judges will consist of elite professionals from several disciplines. Entries will be judged on their aesthetic beauty, as well as how each exemplifies the objectives of the projects; designs exhibiting original and diverse concepts that demonstrate respect for environmental, cultural, philosophical, and/or historical components.

Award Trophy

A unique, crystal, water-drop, multi-colored trophy will be presented to all Gold Award winning projects. Silver, Bronze and Award of Distinction winning designs will be presented with an official document.

Awards Ceremony

Three V Enterprises will host an awards reception to honor the winners.

Future events to include educational seminars whereby attendees will have the opportunity to review projects from across the globe in a slide show presentation and panel discussion. Panel members including judges and winning artisans from the competition will provide insight as to the inspiration and function of the GAVA winning projects, as well as the determining factors for its selection as an award recipient.
